These bars are lighter and vibration damping, due to the thick-walled aluminum construction. They fit the standard 7/8" (22mm) bar mounting clamp on most bikes.
They are only slightly lower than most standard bars, but the key to comfort is that the turn-in angle of that last bend is less, allowing you to be slightly forward with a straighter wrist position.
